Electricity Tariffs

The following tables set out the electricity tariffs in Bahrain:

    A kilowatt/hour (kWh) is a unit of energy that represents the amount of energy consumed or delivered when one kilowatt of power is used continuously for one hour.

Water Tariffs

The following tables set out the water tariffs in Bahrain:

General Requirements for Eligibility of Government Tariff Subsidy:

  • The Account Owner must be a Bahraini citizen.
  • The Account Owner's CPR and address must be registered in the Information & eGovernment Authority database.
  • The address registered in the EWA customer service system must match the address on the identity card in the Information & eGovernment Authority database, and the Account Owner must reside at that address.
  • The Account Owner must be registered as the “Head of the Household” with the Information & eGovernment Authority.
  • The government subsidy is applicable to only one domestic account per household.
  • The Account Owner must be living. In the event of the Account Owner's death, the subsidy will be automatically terminated through the system linked to the Information & eGovernment Authority.
