Application Process

Submit application and required documents as soft copies at EWA’s Customer Care Building (CCB) in Um Al Hassam.

Receive submission acknowledgement email; resubmission may be required if any documents are missing or need revision.

Receive approval letter by email.

- Commercial Registration
- EWA Contractor License; with a minimum grade of (G3)
- Certificate of Attendance for the Solar PV training course (for designated individuals)

Legal Regulations
- Resolution No. (2) of 2017 and the Amendment (Article 8) by Resolution No. (1) of 2019 on Regulating the Connection of Electricity Production Units from Renewable Energy to the Electricity Distribution System at EWA.

Submit ApplicationSubmit your application for Renewable Energy Contractor Licensing, along with all required documents, at the Customer Care Branch (CCB) in Um Al Hassam.

Application ReviewOur team will review your application to verify the contractor’s credentials and ensure compliance with licensing requirements. If any requirements are missing or need revision, you will be asked to resubmit.

Licence IssuanceOnce your application is approved, the licence will be delivered to your email.

Service Tip
Before applying, please ensure that you hold a valid EWA Contractor Licence with a minimum grade of G3, and that your electricians have completed the PV Solar training course and obtained the certificate after successfully passing the exam.
