Service Information

The Prequalification process ensures that all materials submitted by suppliers meet EWA’s technical and quality standards before being considered for procurement. It plays a key role in verifying the manufacturer’s credibility, compliance with specifications, and the suitability of materials for use in EWA projects.

Application Process

  1. Submit application and required documents via email to Prequalification@ewa.bh.
  2. Receive submission acknowledgment email; resubmission may require if any documents were missing.
  3. Receive notification to pay the service fees upon acceptance of the request.
  4. Receive approval letter by email after obtaining Tender Board approval.

  1. Water Prequalification Application
  2. Schedule of Guarantee of WDD items specification
  3. Audited Financial Reports for last 3 years
  4. Financial Reports for last 3 years
  5. Declarations
  6. Technical Submittals
  7. Valid Commercial Registration (CR)
  8. Quality Assurance Documents
  9. Environment, Health, and Safety Certificates
  10. Experience and Usage History
  11. All Documents Must Be Submitted as per the Evaluation Criteria

Service Fees

  • Non-refundable fees of BD 50, plus VAT, in accordance with Tender Board Decision No. 1 of 2017 concerning fees for purchasing tender documents and the value of prequalification documents.

Service Step

  1. Submit Application
    Email your application and required documents to prequalification@ewa.bh and submit a sample of the material for evaluation.
  2. Field Monitoring
    EWA will monitor the sample's performance in the field and prepare a performance report.
  3. Application Review
    Our team will review and evaluate your submittals. If any requirements are missing or need revision, you'll be asked to resubmit the necessary information.
  4. Evaluation Report
    Evaluation report will be finalised and compiled.
  5. Prequalification Status
    Applicants will be notified of their prequalification status following the final decision by the Tender Board upon completion of the evaluation process.
  6. Proceed to Trial Order
    Once your product is prequalified, you may proceed with the trial order to assess the material’s performance under actual site conditions.

Once a product is prequalified, EWA may issue a trial order to evaluate its performance under actual site conditions. The trial aims to verify the product’s practical application, durability, and suitability before it is added to the approved materials list.

Application Process

  1. A specific quantity will be requested through a trial order to monitor and evaluate material’s performance in EWA's network.
  2. Based on the field performance results, final approval will be obtained from the Tender Board.

Documents Required

  1. Original schedule of guarantee, signed and stamped by both the manufacturer and vendor
  2. Technical documents attached with the offer
  3. Performance certificates from GCC Countries

Service Fees

Service Step:

  1. Material Installation
    The material will be installed in EWA’s network to monitor its performance for a specified period.
  2. Evaluate Field Performance
    Based on the field performance results, the material will be submitted to the Tender Board for final approval.
  3. Certification
    Approved applicants will be officially notified, and a prequalification certificate will be issued by EWA.
