New Water Distribution Stations at Hunainya and South Saar
In support of urban development and expansion horizontally and vertically, the Electricity and Water Authority has begun constructing two water distribution stations in Al-Hunainiyah and South Saar areas. The aim is to enhance the efficiency and continuity of water supplies in these areas, in addition to meeting the growing water demand in the surrounding areas.

Construction of pumping stations, ground storage tanks and elevated reservoir at Hunainya and South Saar.
Storage Capacity
Ground storage tanks with a capacity of 10 million gallons (MG), and elevated storage reservoirs with capacities of 1.5 MG at Hunainya and 1 MG at South Saar.
Project Budget
Funded by EWA through Islamic Development Bank with budget BD 30 Million.
Project Timeline
Construction began at June 2025 and is expected to be completed by 30 months.
