EWA President: Bahraini Engineers Are A Fundamental Pillar in the Journey of Sustainable Development
His Excellency Eng. Kamal bin Ahmed, President of the Electricity and Water Authority, affirmed that the Bahraini engineer is an essential partner in achieving the desired sustainable development across all sectors of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and a key contributor to the comprehensive development process led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and in line with the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
His Excellency congratulated all Bahraini engineers on the occasion of Bahraini Engineer’s Day, noting that the Authority employs more than 453 male and female engineers who serve as a cornerstone in achieving the Authority’s strategic objectives and in delivering high-quality services to citizens and residents in the Kingdom. They also play a pivotal role in developing the Authority’s future projects and ensuring the continuity of outstanding performance across all electricity and water services.
His Excellency further stated that the Authority continues to invest in enhancing the skills and capabilities of its engineers and equipping them with diverse expertise by enrolling them in training courses, programmes, workshops and lectures, enabling them to expand their knowledge and remain up to date with the latest practices and developments in the engineering and urban sectors.
His Excellency emphasised that national engineering talent has demonstrated exceptional competence in implementing vital projects in line with the best international practices, thereby strengthening the Authority’s contribution to driving economic and urban development in the Kingdom.
