Bahraini Women Are a Pioneering Human Model in National Development and Civilizational Progress
His Excellency Eng. Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed, President of the Electricity and Water Authority (EWA), praised the remarkable contributions and achievements of Bahraini women in the comprehensive development journey witnessed by the Kingdom of Bahrain under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of Bahrain, and with the support and guidance of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
H.E. affirmed that Bahraini Women’s Day is an opportunity to assess the significant outcomes of national strategies and initiatives based on the principle of equal opportunities between genders—strategies that have played a vital role in cementing the presence of Bahraini women in advancing national accomplishments. He also commended the prominent role of the Supreme Council for Women, chaired by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Council, in institutionalizing women’s presence and highlighting their success stories on the international stage.
His Excellency added that the 2024 theme for Bahraini Women’s Day, “Women: A Deserving Partner in Nation-Building,” which coincides with the Silver Jubilee of His Majesty’s accession to the throne, stands as a tribute to the vital role women play across all sectors. It also reaffirms their position as a pioneering human model in supporting national development and civilizational progress in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
In this context, H.E. also highlighted the distinguished role played by Bahraini women within the Electricity and Water Authority, reaffirming the Authority’s ongoing commitment to the principle of equal opportunities and the empowerment of women in various leadership and operational roles. He concluded by affirming EWA’s continued cooperation and partnership with the Supreme Council for Women to further promote the role of Bahraini women, integrate their needs, and safeguard their rights across all areas of work.
