Net-Metering/Net Billing
The Net-Metering/Net-Billing framework is a pivotal initiative designed to facilitate the integration of Distributed Renewable Resources Generation (DRRG) into the national electrical grid.

Renewable Goals and Achievements
Expanding Access to Renewable Energy
EWA supports Bahrain’s national renewable energy goals by facilitating distributed generation through Net-Metering/Net-Billing. The Authority is committed to expanding this programme across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors, in line with Bahrain’s National Renewable Energy Action Plan (NREAP) and Energy Efficiency Action Plan (NEEAP).
To date, 323 projects have been completed, with 47 projects and over 90 MW of distributed renewable capacity commissioned.
Why Solar Energy?
Transitioning to solar energy offers numerous advantages, including:

Low Electricity Bill
Harnessing the sun's power can lead to significant savings on electricity costs.

Environmental Impact
Solar energy reduces reilance on fossil fuels, contributing to a cleaner environment.

Energy Freedom
Solar energy provides a sustainable and independent power source, granting you greater control over your energy needs.
