Minister to patronize conference



Electricity and Water Affairs Minister Dr. Abdulhussain Mirza will patronize the International Conference on Sustainable Buildings and Renewable Energy, organized by the Kingdom University, in collaboration with the International Renewable Energy Network (WREN) for the second consecutive year.

The event is being held under the theme, "Green Cities" on February 11 and 12. 

Delegations from Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Britain, Italy, Romania and Malaysia are taking part in the conference, which will focus on presenting ongoing research and studies in universities and research centers around the world to develop building systems that comply with the requirements. The conference will also be attended by a group of academics, specialists and those interested in presenting their successful experiences and exchanging scientific and field experiences in this field.

Dr. Mirza stressed the importance of such a conference, which contributes to achieving Bahrain’s national objectives in terms of the sustainable development of energy and improving its efficiency. He praised the efforts of the university and the British International Renewable Energy Network to organize such a scientific.
