Energy Minister Dr. Abdulhussain Mirza patronised a ceremony to honour Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) employees who have retired after long years of service.
EWA Chief Executive Officer Sheikh Nawaf bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa was present on the occasion.
Among those honoured were executive vice president of planning and projects Dr. Khalid Ahmed Burashed and Executive Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs Ahmed Ali Bashir, who completed 40 years and minister's adviser Engineer Mahmoud Ahmed, who completed more than 43 years.
Dr. Mirza praised the officials' efforts and their dedication towards their work, and said they had always motivated younger employees to be positive in their approach towards their jobs.
Sheikh Nawaf thanked and appreciated the retired staff for their efforts and wished them success. EWA directors and a number of officials also attended
