Electricity and Water Affairs Minister Dr. Abdulhussain Mirza received Malaysian Ambassador to Bahrain Agus Salim bin Yusof. He was accompanied by , accompanied by Chief Executive Officer of Malaysian energy and water production company EAG, Dato Taha, and a number of officials .
Electricity and Water Affairs Executive Vice President for Distribution and Customer Services Mohammed Fakhro was also present.
The two sides reviewed the latest projects implemented by the Malaysian company in the region. The minister affirmed the support of the Bahrain Government for all foreign investments in the electricity, water and renewable energy sectors.
He said they also encouraged international companies, especially in the field of economic investments and industry, to be in partnership with the private sector.
The Malaysian ambassador thanked the minister and officials for the welcome and the hospitality and said regulations and legislation in Bahrain encourage foreign investment and that the doors of senior officials in the country are always open.
The meeting was also attended by Dr. Ahmed Hashem, Advisor to the Minister.
